This walk is family-friendly & taken at a leisurely pace.

We live in an incredibly abundant place where food literally grows at our feet. This class will focus on plant-based knowledge and respectful harvesting techniques.

Our guide, Mia Andler, is a local author & environmental educator. Mia possesses a wealth of knowledge on local wild edibles and has been a forager her whole life.

She started learning about plants as a young child with her grandmother in her home-country of Finland, where foraging is a common practice. Mia recently published, The Bay Area Forager, an indispensable resource written just for our region.

Fairfax location to be announced upon registration.  Mia’s books will be for sale (cash or check only). Mia’s book is also regularly stocked at The Potting Shed. You can learn more about Mia’s work at miaandler.com
